The Obsidian Theatre Development Series will launch new Canadian work throughout the season with three workshop productions.

 

The Hallway

Set in 1936, during one of the worst heat waves in history, the tenants of a Negro rooming house struggle to cope with daily life while a Russian immigrant tries to escape his past.

A story of memory, migrations, identity and inheritance, 4our Women explores the entangled portraits of a dead washer, a domestic, an inmate and a crown ward.

Shakespeare’s Nigga
